TADASANA Tadasana, Mountain Pose or Samasthiti is a standing asana in modern yoga as exercise; it is not described in medieval hatha yoga texts. It is the basis for several other standing asanas. Benefits Improves posture. Strengthens thighs, knees, and ankles. Increases awareness. Steadies breathing. Increases strength, power, and mobility in the feet, legs, and hips. Firms abdomen and buttocks. Relieves sciatica. Reduces flat feet. DANDASANA Staff Pose ( Dandasana ) gives you the basic alignment used for most other seated yoga poses. Benefits Helps improve posture . Strengthens back muscles . Lengthens and stretches the spine. May help to relieve complications related to the reproductive organs. Stretches shoulders and chest. Nourishes your body's resistance to back and hip injuries. Helps to calm brain cells
